We recommend structuring the change story in three chaptersââThe Reasonâ, âThe Changeâ and âYour Contributionâ. In each chapter, three questions are answered (Fig. 4.6; 4.3 Background box and 4.4 Background box).

The first chapterââThe Reasonââ describes the status quo, the reason for the change, and the desired goal:1.
Where do we come from? At the beginning of the change story, what the organization stands for and how it has developed to this point is worked outâpossibly including the two to three most important stages in this process. In the sense of the Penguin principle, the past and the previous work of the employees are appreciated and the employees are thanked.
